    Storytelling as the antidote to the collective oblivion on the atrocities backed by the political machine: the anthropologist and director André Singer reflects on the ethic role of storytelling and images, starting from the documentaries "The Act of Killing", on the genocide in Indonesia, and "Night Will Fall" on the extermination by the Nazis.

    Vice-president of the Superior Council of Magistracy

    Attorney and Professor of law and economics, Vice-president of the Superior Council of Magistracy since 2014. He was Undersecretary of the Council Presidency of the Letta cabinet, in charge of the Publishing department and responsible for the Implementation of the Government’s programme, as well as State Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Renzi cabinet. Among his past duties, vice-president of the Committee on Economic Programming and Budget for the Senate, member of the 5th Committee on Economic Programming and Budget and of the Parliamentary committee for the implementation of the administrative reform.

    Mexican chef

    International culinary talent, he runs the restaurant Hoja Santa and the winery Niño Viejo: both of them are projects by Albert Adrià, brother of Ferran Adrià, who is among the most important chefs in the world. He promoted a new concept of gastronomy inspired to the spread of the true Mexican cuisine; he recently coordinated the gala dinner promoted by Masterchef on occasion of the great exhibition dedicated to Mexican artist Frida Kahlo at the Scuderie del Quirinale (Quirinal Stables) in Rome.

    Anthropologist and documentarian

    Anthropologist, director and film producer. President of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland. CEO & Creative Director of Spring Films Ltd, he directed Night will Fall (2014) and produced the award-winning The Act of Killing and The Look of Silence (Special jury prize at the 71st Venice International Film Festival). 

  • Jimmy Nelson

    Photojournalist

    British world-renowned photographer. Throughout his career he captured and told the faces and the stories of the last tribal communities left in the world. His photographic project Before They Pass Away, realized in 2014 and dedicated to the endangered populations, was hosted on the pages of The National Geographic and was defined by the New York Times: “A project taking years and is less ethnology or anthropology than a document of his romance with otherness".

Professor of journalism at the University of Perugia and Siena. He trained the team of Repubblica TV about the rules of video-journalism.
